Today was a hard day for our little Mya. We decided to get her spayed and today was the big day. Nate took her because I was at work and the whole day I was so worried about her! How pathetic am I that my dog causes me so much worry and stress. She was there the entire day and when we got her home she was so groggy and tired. She has a huge incision on ther belly. She just lays there with this dazed look on her face, poor girl. If I can barely handle this with a dog how will I react when my kids have to have surgery! Anyways it was a hard day. Hopefully the picture isn't too graphic!

Nate took Mya on a sweet hike yesterday to get her energy out and let her have one more enjoyable day for a while! He took some cool pictures of her and this is my favorite. She is such a great hiking dog. She just stays right by you and will go on forever. I guess near the end of the hike she was getting pretty hot and tired. When they got near a little stream she went and took a big drink and then just layed down in it! She was done! What a funny little girl.

Sadly I know exactly how you feel about your little Mya. We got Jack neutered before we had Coop..and we were in St George so he stayed with our friend the vet for the weekend..and I think I called and texted them like 5 times a day to make sure Jack was ok. He was groggy for a little bit..but no worries..it passes..then they're back to their bubbly self. That is a great pic of her on the hike! Looks like it should be in a calendar or something!
I can't even IMAGINE a groggy and sleepy Mya.
Hey I'm a friend of Melissa Merrell and she showed me your cute little pup. My hubby and I are looking into getting one because Mya is so dang cute. Just to let you know, I have a 3 pound pomeranian and when she got spayed I was the same way. I was worried sick about her and the medications made her so SLEEPY. It's funny to look back on it now, though. Ashley
