Okay now let's finish up October.
You can't go through the whole fall without playing in the leaves.
We were up by Nate's mom's house and noticed the church had a ton of leaves, and since our poor yard is lacking in the tree department was decided to take up the opportunity.

Lucas loved it and made Nate keep making him huge piles to jump into.
He loved to be completely covered by them

Emily was a little unsure but soon warmed up to it!

Love myself some fall leaves!
The next week it just up and snowed on us....lame
Lucas wanted to play in the snow so bad, even though there really was hardly any on the ground.
I got them both all bundled up and headed out.

Really it was the first time that Emily actually played in the snow.

She was so confused at first but found out it tasted cool and wouldn't stop.

She was pretty stoic the whole time we were playing. Not sure she understood what it was!

Luckily the weather turned better and we had an awesome Halloween.
Seriously the weather couldn't have been more perfect. I think this was my favorite Halloween ever!
Before the festivities began I went and snapped a few pictures of the kids in their costume.
Lucas had been planning on being a fireman, but then we went to Disneyland.
We got him a Captain Jack Sparrow sword and that was all he could talk about....he wanted to be a pirate. How could refuse the kid?

So a few days before Halloween I got on Amazon and found a hat and shirt. I found some old black sweats that he had and some of my Christmas socks and some leftover red fabric and there we go, a pirate. Man I'm glad I did. You have never seen a kid more excited about his costume! Made Halloween totally one to never forget!

Emi was a witch, she wasn't so sure about the hat, but wore it for me at least long enough to take a few pictures.

What a great Halloween!

And last but not least was a momentous occasion at our house.
I put piggie tails in Emi's hair for the first time!
Yup she finally (kind of) has enough hair to do something with it!
I didn't have hair until I was 3 so I was guessing she would be the same, looks like its coming in faster than I thought and I'm so excited, and slightly terrified. I have no clue how to do girls hair so this will be quite the learning experience! She looks so stinking cute though and so grown up.

Not the easiest little girl to take pictures of. She kept running and hiding from me!

Can't really see her pigtails in this one but I thought she looked so cute.

We have since figured out the little pony on top of her head which is even more adorable. I'll post pics of that later.
