This last weekend Nate and I went up to the Uintahs with our friends Eric and Laura and Derek and Kim. We vcntured up Thursday night. It was a little cloudy, not to threatening, but as soon as we started setting up camp it started to rain and hail. We left our tent halfway set up and booked it to the car where we waited for twenty minutes or so until it let up. After the rain stopped we went out to inspect the damage. Our tent was a little wet inside and where we were going to put up our tent was now more like a pond! AHHH the joys of camping. We spent most of the trip fishing, reading and eating awesome dutch oven food thanks to Eric.
We hiked to these awesome lakes called the Cubrants. It was an unbelievably beautiful place. These pictures don't even do it justice.
We fished all morning and then hiked down to the waterfall. It was so pretty! The whole time we were there we never saw anyone else. It was great.
Mya absolutely loved the hike and was pretty curious about the lake and all the fish and she jumped in a few times. She has no fear of the water! She also enjoyed all the new things to eat. I think by the end of the trip she had eaten 5 pine cones, a few portions of fish guts, and tons of human food that Eric thought would be good for her! She only puked three times the next day, not bad at all. Seriously though, there is nothing better than hanging out in the mountains enjoying the view and catching a few fish. What a great way to spend the weekend!

Those pictures are gorgeous! We have been aching to go camping lately! Good ole Eric, how is he doing these days?
Go camping all you can before you have kids, because your load gets much heavier and it's harder to get out. We haven't done it yet cause we are slackers. Those pics are amazing...it looks so serene.
Eric is doing good! It's always a party with him around. He is an awesome cook too!
