A few weeks ago Nate's dad passed away. It has been a life altering experience and has really made me realize how precious life is. Ken was an amazing man and I really grew to love him a lot. We shared the same love of chocolate and my favorite thing in the world was when I would come over he always snuck me and only me a piece of really good chocolate. He said that no one else deserved it because they didn't truly love it! He always made us laugh with his great stories and hilarious personality. He had been working so hard at learning the guitar and had really gotten good. I loved listening to him and Nate "jam" in the basement. I know he is happier and in a much better place than us. I will miss him a lot and I am so grateful that I know I can see him again. Thanks to everyone for all of your love and support the last few weeks. Nate and I can't believe how great our friends and family are! We love you Ken!

What a wonderful post! I love the chocolate story. That is so cute. How wonderful it is to have our knowledge that we can be with our loved ones again. You and Nate are so great too. I am impressed with your positive attitudes. I love you guys!
What great memories you have to share with your baby, of his/her grandpa. He sounded like a neat guy. I too am impressed with your guys positive attitudes-it's a great feeling to know that you WILL see him again and to know he is watching over baby Eyre right now. If you need anything please call or if you need to just get out I'm always around!
What a great tribute to him! Those are all such fun memories of him to never forget. I am glad that you are both doing better and I am very glad that we have you guys as friends as well. Can't wait to see you and your belly again on Saturday.

brynn! thank you for the post. i really wish i could have gotten to know your father-in-law more. he was so funny at the wedding. i am glad you have a relationship with him- i am sure that he loves you very much and is eager to see you again someday. i hope that through this difficult experience you can become closer to your mother-in-law and sister-in-law. i know first hand families have an amazing way of bonding together and supporting one another in difficult times. if you ever need anything- let me know- i have been thinking about you a lot lately and you and nate are always in my prayers.
aloha (that means i love you!)
I hope you can feel how much your friends love you both. You and Nate are really strong. Thanks for your good example.
Was so sorry to hear about your loss and I am so glad that you are coping so well. It is always best to remember the joy. Thinking of you in Minnesota.
