Baby Showers and Dinner

I have decided that I am so blessed with some awesome friends. I have had two baby showers already, one by my high school friends and one by my college roomies. I didn't get any pics of the first shower but we had a great time. Everyone always gives such good advice and I love taking a step back in time to high school remembering all of the fun things we did. I got some awesome presents too. Thanks girls!

My second shower was by my old college roomies. I decided when we get together we just talk non-stop! I love it! We went to the Union Grill for a great lunch and then over to Megan's mom's house for some more talking, presents, and dessert. Megan and Chelsie you did a great job with the refreshments! You two are both Martha Stewarts in my eyes! We had so many great times in college, it made me really miss it. Here are some cute pics of that shower. Thanks girls for all the great presents and advice!

And then last night we had a kind of farewell dinner for my friends Tiff and Kyrsten who are going with their husbands to work in California this summer. We went to El Matador, and I had totally forgotten how amazing the food was! It was an all girl no kids night and we had a blast. We got there around six and some of us stayed around talking until after ten! How we find so much to talk about is beyond me. Most of us have known each other since we were in elementary and junior high! I love that we have been able to stay close and still get together. It was such a fun night. Thanks again girls!

I've decided (in my whole two years of being married) how important girlfriends are. It is so nice to just be able to be with girls and talk and talk and talk and laugh a little too! Don't get me wrong I love Nate more than anything, but I know he gets irritated by my need to always be talking. There is just something so great about having a good old girls night out. I am so lucky to have so many great friends.

I am so glad you enjoyed the shower! It was great to get to hang out again. Yummy El Matador. Next time we plan a GNO we should go there cause I haven't been in years - Ross doesn't like 'fake' Mexican food. I also agree that hanging out with just the gals is needed. Ross doesn't need a social life and other human interaction like I do ;)

We should go there! I love El Matador...and Brandon also isn't really a big fan. It was so good to see you...and I'm waiting for your phone call to go ride the front runner!

Don't worry I am still in for the front runner! This week has been crazy with demolishing our bathroom but hopefully next week will calm down!

Brynn always says that I need to hang out with Ross because we are so much alike, which is exactly why we never hang out.

You girls require so much communication and togetherness. Ross and I are content with sitting at home alone playing xbox.
