Getting bigger!

Last week Lucas went in for his two week appointment. He is doing awesome! He weighs in at 8 lbs 14 oz! I was worried he wasn't getting enough food but I think he is doing okay. He was still 21 inches long and was in the 50th percentile for head size length and weight! He was such a good little kid at the doctor. He really is a pretty good little guy. He does have his days and nights mixed up a bit! My doctor said I didn't need to wake him up at night to feed him anymore since he is gaining weight fine! I was way excited about this but he still wakes up every 3 hours by himself! During the day it's the opposite. I have to do everything to wake him up and keep him awake for his feedings! I hope he grows out of this! Such an adjustment but I really love it! When he looks at me and smiles (it is probably just gas) my heart melts. He is such a cutie.

On Sunday Kate flew in from California for the week so she got to meet Lucas for the first time! We decided to go out for a little outing so we walked over to listen to the music at the Weber State fireworks and pops concert. It felt pretty good to get out and Lucas loves to go on walks. It was fun to have Kate here too!Mya loved going out for a walk. I don't think she gets enough exercise these days! Isn't she so cute. I love that dog. This was Lucas' attempted smile! When he really smiles it is adorable.
Aunt Kate with Lucas at the fireworks. I think he liked her!

He is so cute Brynn. I hope you got the package okay and I hope the rompers fit. Take care of yourself and that little one. I will look forward to seeing more pictures.

Oh...the pictures of both your babies are adorable. You have come and gone the first 2 weeks - it only gets better from here.

I don't know if you have tried this, but Anna had her days and nights mixed up too. I started making sure that when I was feeding her at night I didn't turn the light on or talk to her..very much anyway (a lot harder than it sounds as you may now). But I was keeping it dark and not fun during the night and then during the day I made sure I didn't darken her room and I tried to keep her stimulated so she would start to recognize the difference between night and day. I did this and after a few days she was on schedule. Hope it helps. Looks and sounds like you are doing everything right and he is getting big. Hopefully we will see you again soon - until then, keep us posted!

I was worried Maddux wasn't getting enough food and he gained like a ton! Right when the doctor told me I could stop waking him up in the middle of the night, he started to wake up on his own--I was so sad!! But I agree with Megan, you have survived the first few weeks and it only gets better! He is so cute.

Ah he is so sweet! I'm glad that Kate got to come home and meet him! I thought about calling you to see if you were at the fireworks!! Blast, I wish I would have! And if you're ever feeling like Mya is getting chubby or not getting enough exercise, just put her by jack...he's a chunk!
