Now that Nate is done with the bulk of school we have been playing nonstop. I love having him around more!
We decided to finally take our first camping trip with a baby. I've been kind of nervous about it, especially the sleeping part, but he was a champ and we had a great time!

Mya also loved camping. She is the best dog when we are in the outdoors. At home she is stubborn and kind of naughty, but when we are camping or hiking she is PERFECT!

Lucas may have tripped and fell on several occasions resulting in a nice little shiner, the picture doesn't do it justice.

We camped up Logan canyon and then hiked to Whitepine Lake up by Tony's Grove.
Let me tell you that it was beautiful. It is wildflower season and it was unbelievable.

Mya loves to swim! As soon as she sees water she runs and jumps right in.

We were pretty exhausted after, packing in a 23 lb kid on hour back is kind of tiring, but we had a blast!
The day after we got back from that excursion, Lucas, my sister, and I flew out to California to meet up with my parents and my dads family for a family reunion. Nate had to work but flew out the next day. I was so glad he actually got to come!
We had so much fun and Lucas once again was so good! He met lots and lots of new people and relished in all of the attention!
He also got to experience the ocean for his first time. He seemed a little unsure about the whole thing! We did get him laughing a bit.
This is when we first set him down in the water. I love the face, trying to smile and act like everything is cool!

The first day we were there the whole family took off to Carpenteria this cute little beach town just north of LA.

The next day for our reunion we just hung out at my cousins house by the pool, ate lots of food, played a little ping pong, and just caught up on life! I rarely get to see this side of the family so I love being able to get together.

The whole fam!

We also celebrated Nate's bday while we were there. He just loves birthdays! (i'm exagerating)

The next day pretty much everyone went home so Nate Lucas and I headed to Santa Monica to do a little shopping and hit up the beach again.

The kid could have played in the sand all day! He found a little shovel and we would bury it and he would dig around and find it. The boy is getting smart!

I couldn't believe how many people there were!

He may have eaten a few handfulls of sand! He would put it in his mouth and make the most disgusted face ever!

I think he was a little more at ease cause his daddy had him!

By the end of the day he was all tuckered out!

We had such a fun vacation even though it was short.
Wish I could go back!

Such a fun trip - I am totally jealous. Not as jealous as I am that you got to enjoy some Corner Bakery while you were there though. **sigh** I heart Lucas - he is pretty cute. I am glad that I got to see you guys this week - we need to hang out more often.
