A Lucas update.
He isn't as easy as he used to be to take photos of. He says cheese for one minute and then he is off running around playing. I think we got a few cute ones.

Lucas is growing up way too fast. When I look at the pictures he doesn't even look like a baby at all, actually he doesn't even look like a 2 year old, he looks like he's 5!
Doesn't help when you are ridiculously tall.

He really is such a good kid. I complain to my mom when he is being naughty and she just laughs and says how lucky I am, and that he really isn't bad compared to most kids. He has his moments (which seem to happen more and more since he turned 2) but he really is a good kid.
He is talking a TON now. It is weird that we can have full blown conversations with each other now and understand one another. He says some pretty funny things too. Whenever you ask him to do something or how he is doing he always replies with "I'm okay mom". It always makes me giggle. When he gets in trouble he always says "It's kind of funny!?!". Usually it isn't funny at all.

Lucas loves to help feed Mya, a little too much, thus Mya's weight problem.
He is a great eater except when it comes to veggies, it's a constant work in process.
Lucas loves to read books and will sit and read them FOREVER by himself, and if you bug him he will tell you to go away. He is also really good at playing with his toys by himself too. He sings and talks to himself while he is playing and he always lines his toys up. Silly kid.

He always has a big smile for you whenever you look at him.
He loves going to his cousins football games and now whenever he sees football on tv he says "Look there's Trae!"
Lucas is so full of personality, he sometimes drives us up the wall, but you can't help but just love the kid.
Classic Lucas smile!

Lucas has been really interested in going potty lately so we decided to give it a whirl and see what happened. Well pretty much it was not the best idea ever. We tried for almost two weeks and he...just...didn't....get....it. So instead of me having a nervous breakdown we decided to wait until he is a little older. He loved his underwear though, he just loved pooping in it too!

Why do they have to grow up so stinkin fast?

Those pictures are SO cute! He is adorable. I hope they make those shoes in Will's size. :)
Such. A. Stud. And even though this stage is hard - it sure is a fun one ;) Hopefully you have better (much better) luck next time on the potty training. Your comment about the underwear made me laugh out loud.
You excited for Saturday? Are you gonna come sleep over the night before? :)
Brynn! These are great pictures of Lucas! I love his big blue eyes and his smile.
Kate loves books, too, and will read to herself for a long time. She loves to sing, too! She hasn't quite gotten the potty training thing down either. Hopefully soon.
I can say the exact same thing about my little bug! They become little people way too fast! I can't wait til I can bring Ellie out to visit... She will love all of her "Colton" cousins!
What a handsome guy! I think that potty training is probably super hard. I do not look forward to it. It is fun that he can talk and have conversations with you. I can't wait for that day. He looks like a fun kid. Enjoy!
Oh Brynn, he is such a little stud! I love that kid. I agree with your mom... He is a GOOD kid, but I totally know what you mean. Davis definitely has his moments sometimes and they are becoming more frequent now. I still have people ask me if he ever cries... Yes, yes he does!! I assure you!! I can't believe they grow so fast though. Boooo!
he is so cute, brynn! and i think he lots tons like YOU! definitely don't worry about the potty thing. like you said, just try when he's older. max didn't even have an interest until he was almost 3, and it had to be "his" idea. once he decided he was ready, it was fairly easy as far as potty training goes... (still had accidents but pretty good overall.)
darling photos!
