Last week Lucas had a field trip to the fire station.
To say that he was excited is quite the understatement.
He always gets so excited when we see fire trucks, so getting to climb in one and meet a real live fire fighter was like his dream come true.
(please excuse the quality of pics, the lighting wasn't)

He was so interested in everything the fireman had to say, he kept asking all sorts of questions.

At the end they had one of the firefighters come out completely dressed in all of their gear including their air mask. They were trying to teach the kids that if they see a guy dressed like that in their house when there is a fire they should run up and give him a big hug because they are there to help. Lucas didn't hesitate for a second and was the first one to go give him a hug. Social little guy.

On another note, remember how we moved into a new house, well pretty much our yard is one big dirt/mud hole. It is so messy. Now that the weather is better all Lucas wants to do is be outside playing which equals one really dirty kid.
The other day him and the neighbor kids were throwing everything they could find into the mud hole in the front yard. And of course Lucas had to walk right through the mud instead of walk around.

(notice Mya in these pictures, she contributes to the mess. Muddy yard + dog equals a huge mess. When it has been raining/snowing I can't tell you how many times a day I have to clean off her paws. She does not like it either so it's always a battle and I usually end up covered in mud)

Man I can't wait to have somewhat of a yard put in!
