Christmas 2007

I always get a little sad when the holiday season is over. This morning I took down all of the Christmas decor and my front room looks empty! It was a great holiday season though! Here's a recap of the Eyre's Christmas.

A little of my Christmas plans were ruined with the huge snowstorm Christmas eve, but it all turned out alright. Nate had to work until midnight and the plan was that I would spend Christmas Eve in Logan with my parents and come down when Nate got off work so we could head down to Riverton to his parents house for Christmas morning. Well by the time I got off work at 3 it was a blizzard and with my small fear of driving in the snow my parents opted to come down to Ogden to treat me to Christmas Eve pizza. So my sister and brother-in-law, Mom and Dad, and lonely old me went to the Pie for our traditionally Christmas Eve dinner of pizza. We then did a smaller version of our traditional Christmas Eve activities. Since I am a baby and didn't want to be alone the rest of the night once my parents left, I went up to Nate's Aunt's house in Pleasant View. They were so nice to have me and included me in their fun traditions. I even got new pajamas! Once Nate got home we decided to face the still blizzardy weather outside and we slowly drove down to Riverton. The roads were horrible but we made it!

Christmas morning was great! It was my first Christmas morning ever not being with my parents, so it was a little different but so much fun. Nate's parents got us a new video camera for when the baby comes! What a great present. I was so excited.

After a quick breakfast we headed back to Ogden so Nate could go to work. Sadly I headed by myself back up to Logan to spend the rest of Christmas with my parents. We had a great dinner and went and saw Enchanted which was a great flick! The next morning Nate came up to Logan and we had a pretend Christmas morning with my parents. We were spoiled and got lots of clothes, movies, and Nate got all of his stuff for nursing school like scrubs and a stethoscope. So even though it wasn't your normal Christmas it ended up being pretty good.

Last night for New Years we headed over to my friend Shae and Jake's house for a New Years Bash. A lot of old high school friends and their spouses were there and it we had such a good time. I am so lucky to have so many great friends and family!

So of course I forgot my camera the whole Christmas holiday so I have no pictures! I really need to just keep that in my purse! I hope everyone else had a great holiday season! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Even though your Christmas didn't go as planned, sounds like you had a good time. Now, go put your camera in your purse and leave it there ALWAYS! I want to see pictures of all these "illeged" activities.

Once the baby comes you'll never forget your camera again! It was fun seeing you and Nate the other night. I think he is such a nice guy. And I loved his personality with Apples to Apples (viagra) I'm still laughing!

Hey didn't you go to the dr today? How was it? Do we know if it's a boy or a girl?! It sounds like you guys had a good holiday and I'm glad you opted not to drive to Logan in the blizzard! That would have been scary!
