So I do realize that all I do is post things about Lucas.
There really isn't anything else exciting in my life.
I work, I play with Lucas, I sometimes see Nate. I never get sleep. That's it!
The babe is getting so big. He just turned 8 months old, I can't believe it!
So here is an update for those of you who care!
Lucas is all over the place! He is so curious and loves to explore EVERYTHING!
Who knew how many times a kid could hit his head?
He is loving eating solid foods (except peas) an especially loves trying to feed himself.
He has discovered how to make a million noises, his favorite is growling. It is hilarious!
His favorite person (if you can consider her a person) is Mya. When he is getting fussy if I have her come sit by us he immediately quiets down. He crawls all over her, pulls her ears, pokes her eyes, grabs her paws, and she just takes it! You think she would avoid him but I have caught her a few times dropping a toy in front of him in hopes that he will play with her.
What a good doggie she is!
He is impossible to get dressed or to change his diaper.
I literally have to pin him down to get the job done.
He is such a happy smiley kid, and besides not sleeping very well at night (I'm dying!!) He is a perfect little guy and so much fun.
Oh wait, Nate just reminded me of a Lucas funny!
So now that he can stand he likes to stand up in his crib instead of sleeping, and he hasn't figured out how to sit down from the standing position. Well the other night he would not just lay down and go to bed. I finally, after going in and laying him down a few times, decided to just let him cry for a bit and see if he could figure it out. I went in there after 25 minutes and yes he was standing there, but he was laying his head down on the railing half way asleep! I think he would have just fallen asleep standing! Even though I was frustrated that he wouldn't sleep, I really couldn't help but laugh my head off!
(the poor kid is going to hate looking back at what I made him do for pictures! Oh well I have to get my creative energy out somehow!)

I am sorry once again for the lack of sleep. It really is no fun. Annabelle woke up today crying at 5AM and didn't stop until 8AM until she finally tuckered herself out. It was about then, as I was laying with her in her bed that I was crying with too - I am so hosed with another kid...I don't think I will ever sleep again. LOL. But then they do something so cute and funny like falling alseep standing up and it makes all the bad go away.
I'm going to stop reading blogs about little boys. It gives me anxiety. I'm worried about never sleeping again. I thought it was supposed to be better as they got older. I just keep flashing back to when I worked graveyards and how bad it was. That is SO cute that he fell asleep standing. I guess that makes it all worth it.
The tie idea is si cute. You are so good at coming up with fun ideas for pictures! I love that he was falling asleep with his head on the railing...it's those moments that bring tears to your eyes...yesterday we saw Alli find her thumb for the first time and we both got choked up it's funny what parenthood does to you..its awesome. I hope he starts sleeping for you better soon. That kid has so much energy. We love him. And his growly rough voice is my favorite thing ever!
Look how blue his eyes are! We were just watching home videos this morning when Kenna was about this age. They're so fun and so curious about everything. I can't believe how quickly it goes by!

ah brynn you almost made me cry...we had to get rid of jack. we're just going to be renting alittle apt down in saratoga and they won't allow pets...but i found this most adorable family with 4 kids, they all came up to meet him and were so good and they've been emailing me since yesterday about how he's doing....me and coop cried and it just kind of feels empty at my house right now. :-( the people who bought our house are supposed to close on the 18th..but they haven't gotten the appraiser out yet so we'll see when it actually happens...i can do a play date any day but friday, so let me know when works for you...sorry for the novel
