Oh what a great time we had on Halloween.
My mom goes all out on Halloween and was so excited this year because Lucas understood a little more what was going on and he actually go to go trick or treating!
We headed up to Logan and my mom had a great dinner prepared for us. I should have taken pictures! Orange bread bowls that looked like pumpkins, witch cupcakes, just great food as usual.
We had to have a little photo shoot with Lucas decked out in his frog costume. I thought he would hate it, but he actually liked wearing it.

Then came the trick or treating.

We got him to knock on the doors by himself and if they offered him the bowl to choose what type of candy he wanted he just helped himself with a few hand fulls. It was hilarious. Then he promptly put his candy into his bag and said thanks and we continued on! It was pretty cute. We hit up about 10 houses and then he lost interest. I love that he is starting to understand things. Holidays are only going to get more and more fun!
I was so happy to see that in my parents neighborhood trick or treating is alive and well. I really dislike the trunk or treat, it totally takes the fun out of Halloween. I loved seeing the neighborhood full of kids in their costumes, running around full of sugar. It made me happy.
Halloween 2009 was a success.

What a cute little frog - totally fitting for you! I agree with the trunk or treat. We did it this year because we were in charge of our ward Halloween party. But you better believe we did the traditional style Saturday night - it is so much better. And you are right, it only gets more fun from here on out. Glad you guys had a good Halloween!

Love the frog costume. Austin was a frog 2 yrs ago, when he was around Lucas's age. I'm so excited for you in the next coming years of Halloween. Your right, holidays just get more and more fun! I'm already looking forward to Christmas.

it seems all the little boys this year were dragons, dinosaurs, or some superhero figure, so it's cute and refreshing to see a frog in the blog world! that's really really cute.

the lighting and coloring in your pics is always awesome, love it.

i agree with trunk or treat actually. in fact, we didn't go to our wards'. it probably is much safer (especially outside of utah), but eh... it's not as much fun.

Oh I LOVE LOVE LOVE that costume. I especially like that the frog shape could be mistaken for a spare tire around your baby's middle. Looks like you guys had a good vacation in Texas.
