So I have to be honest. Being a stay at home mom is really hard for me. I struggle with it. I feel guilty even saying this because I know there are so many moms who would love to be able to stay home with their kids.
Don't get me wrong I realize how lucky I am, and I LOVE my kids, but it is harder than I ever thought. There are days when I totally wish I could get up and get ready and head off to work, actually use my degree that I worked so hard on.
But then there are those days when you sit back and watch your kids and realize how good life is and how much fun it is to be a mom and it makes all the other crappy days worth it (which seem to be a lot of my days lately!).
I had to get out my camera and document this day.

(Please disregard Luke's underwear completely hanging out of his pants. He has inherited my bum and his pants will NOT stay up!)

I love watching my kiddos together, to see the absolute adoration that Emi has for Luke.
And to see Lucas being such a good big brother and actually wanting to help out with Emi.
They are great kids and I know that even though it is hard it is sooo worth it to be home with them.

The other day Luke really wanted to help me feed Emi.
I let him go for it.
I love Luke's wide open mouth and Emi's face in this picture! She wasn't so sure about it!

Finally if you are still reading.
Emi turned 7 months old.

I know I say it every month but seriously why do they grow up so stinking fast.
Em is seriously a joy. I have never met a happier baby. She will flash a smile at anyone who even glances at her.

She has learned to roll really well and rolls all around the house to get to where she wants to go. Hilarious.
She isn't interested in crawling at all, and I'm fine with that.
She decided that she likes to growl and she does it all day long. Such a funny noise.
Photobucket
She is starting to actually like eating solids and eats a ton.
She has figured out how to eat little finger foods, it's so cute watching her eat them.
She always kicks her little legs. Whether she is on the ground or in your arms, her little legs are always kicking, especially when she gets excited.
Photobucket
As I said earlier she loves loves Lucas and he makes her giggle harder than anyone.
She still has hardly any hair. I had no hair till I was 3 so I figured she might be the same.
I try to take the small amount that she has and spike it up a bit. Lucas thinks it's cool. I can't wait till its longer.
Wait maybe I can since I am horrible at doing hair!
Photobucket
Emi you are seriously such a joy. I can't help but just wanting to squeeze and kiss you all the time. I know Heavenly Father sent you to me for a reason, probably so we would have more kids!
Everyone loves being around you and I hope you can keep that with you throughout your life.
I can't wait to see you learn and grow. Hmmm, maybe I can, stay small a little longer okay!

Oh Brynn! Thanks for posting this. We are twins when it comes to the love/hate relationship with being a "stay at home mom" Someday it will all make sense to me and I'll learn to love it, but many days I want to head out to door before John does in the morning. They are sure worth it though. That Emi of yours is sure gonna be a heartbreaker. Seriously Brynn she's cuuute. I love the last pic of her. The lighting in your house looks great for pics! Lucky you!

I read your blog alot, even thought I don't post comments, and I LOVE the photos you take! Your little girl is impossibly adorable! Don't feel bad about feelings about being a mom, you are in the majority actually. Maybe we can have a get together soon and have our kids play. My baby is 9 months now. Time Flys!

Being a mom is SUPER hard. I always feel like a weak person when people bust out 20 kids and feel like I can barely handle the one. Your kids are so cute...have I mentioned that before? :)

AND REMEMBER YOU ARE CLOSE NOW WE CAN ALWAYS HAVE PLAY DATES, I THINK EVERY S-A-H MOM HAS A LOVE/HATE RELATIONSHIP WITH IT. SO COME ON OVER ON THOSE NOT SO FUN DAYS! I'LL PLAY WITH YOU!

YOu are preaching to the choir. That first paragraph is SO true. And I used to get teary eyed when I saw how Evan looked at Anna (blasted post partum hormones) now I still enjoy them playing together, but they sure seem to fight a lot more. Seriously? The sibling problems have already begun. Blerg.
